Nothing funny to say

After my last post, Youngest kept getting sicker. We kept going to the doctor but they couldn't figure out what was wrong. Meanwhile she kept getting sicker. Finally today, we found out she has a bad case of walking pneumonia, right before our annual beach trip. Oldest has also been diagnosed with beginning pnemuonia. Both are now on heavy duty meds. I've been surrounded by sick, whiny, crying children at home and sick, whiny, crying students at school. Hopefully now with medication, the girls will all get better. I really hope so. I haven't had a good nights sleep in weeks and this continuous cycle of sickness in the house has made me absolutely miserable.

So my inability to blog and visit my favorite blogs has now been explained. I have no idea how much longer I will be out of commission. But I can only hope and pray that Youngest and Oldest both get completely better soon so they are no longer so miserable.

I'm so sorry. It really hurts a parent when their kid is ill. I remember it, though I only had one so never had two sick ones at once. I did have once where both Mary and Josh were sick. It takes a toll. I hope things improve soon.

I'm sending white light your way.

Oh, I do hope they are feeling better soon. I'm sure they will be with the medicines. Now, don't you get sick!

I'm so sorry, Ello. These things happen and, with kids, it's even more difficult because you can get a feeling of helplessness. Stay strong and healthy! They will get well soon! I hope you can still go to the beach - that air, full of sea salts, would do them very good.

There's a little award for you at my blog, to cheer you up... :-)

poor ello. we're rooting for ya.

Ello, such misery is hard to bear in one of your children...but two? That's beyond bearing. When you aren't sleeping, and still having to work, everything is just compounded exponentially. I'm so, so sorry you are dealing with this, and my thoughts and good wishes are with your girls, and you.

my prayers for the speedy recovery of both...

i will ask my apache friend in california to set up a prayer circle for their full recovery

it has worked before, many times

do take care of YOU, as well....

So sorry to hear this. As laughingwolf says, do remember to look after yourself in the midst of this. Hope everyone is on the mend soon.

Ell,

Do take care of yourself in all this. Hoping for a speedy recovery for all.

I'm glad we're down to our last "in house" child. Of course, if she gets sick in the next year, I'm not the one who has to deal with it...but I'll surely hear about it!

Big, smiley, furry, warm hugs to you and yours. It is awful when everyone's ill. You swing between pissed off and worried sick - no fun at all. The meds will work and everyone will recover quickly. Then you put your feet up and have a big rest on you beach holiday. You've earned it.

Healthy vibes on their way to you. xxx

Ello, this is so bad. If I were there, I would babysit for you. (I've probably got enough fart jokes myself to keep Angus well occupied.) Meanwhile, I send you my best -- and a virtual foot rub, too.

This happened to us once, when we'd already booked our holiday accomodation: one kid had severe gastroenteritis and just as she was starting to recover from that, the other one got chicken pox. It was really no joke.

Wow, Ell, I hope everyone gets better soon.

I'm keeping good thoughts & well wishes for all y'all (which is a perfectly cromulent word, here in the South.) Take care!

Good Lord, El. What a mess for you and yours. I know that cycle thing hits sometimes - and it's a bear when it does.

Here's to coming out on the other side!

Ah, poor Dears, poor Ello, poor family.

What's the deal with this walking pneumonia? We have people at work that have been taken down and out with this - I haven't heard about this much of this stuff in a long time.

Your little cuites- hope they're loads and loads better now!
