Me: What's the matter?
Oldest: It's so much creepier to see it.
Me: See what?
Oldest: He's watching her as she sleeps and she doesn't even know it. That's so creepy. Plus he's wearing pink lipstick.
Me: Yeah, how embarrassing - especially the lipstick part. In fact, I think I have that exact lipstick shade. How embarrassing for me!
Oldest: I would hate having someone staring at me while I sleep. It's too weird and creey.
Me: Not to mention uncomfortable. What if you snore or fart in your sleep?
Oldest: Or pick your nose or scratch your butt or drool all over your pillow, like Angus.
(both of us begin to giggle madly before we are silent again.)
Oldest: Hey Mom, can you do me a favor?
Me: Yeah?
Oldest: Can you promise to never talk like this in front of my friends, ever?
Me: Oh no, are you saying I embarrass you now?
Oldest: Yes, but don't worry, you're not alone, all parents are embarrassing.
Me: I'm hurt.
Oldest: Get over it, you're a grown up.
Me: (sigh) And clearly so are you.

Yes! Stalking is scary!! Your little girl gets it, why don't all the others?
You are truly blessed. ;)
That is funny! (and wonderful that she found that part creepy!)
hahaha! That was both funny and awesome! How proud are you that she got the creepiness of the love-stalking! yay her!
Yes, I'm glad she senses the creepiness of stalking.
OMG they grow up sooooo fast.
And stalking, I have no fear of that - not at my age. But, I hate falling asleep in an airplane - not because people might see me sleeping - or that I might snore - no my fear is that I'll . . . pass gas and not even know it. Then I'll wake up and everyone will be staring at me, and I won't even know why.
According to my sixteen year old daughter...parents just get more embarrassing as their children get older!
Funny post as always.
I'm glad my daughter isn't old enough for this yet. We're more into cartoons such as Handy Manny. I can deal with talking hammers. Stalky vampires, not so much.
At least she gets it that stalking is not romantic - it's creepy.
Yes, I guess your daughter is growing up. You'll become less embarrassing in about 10 or 15 years. Sigh.
I read the exact same observation from Mary at Mom and More. She thought probably it was women of her generation who found that creepy. Aparantly the younglings are just as wise. Probably more. Make that definitely more. :D
Woot, Woot!!! Oldest gets it, oldest gets it!!!!
Now, just to convince the rest of her generation that stalking is creepy.

Have you thrown that lipstick out yet? Because you know every time you wear it, you'll be thinking of Little Eddie the sparkly vampire.
I admit to liking the movie, too, although whiney and low-self-esteemy Bella is annoying. And the stalking bit was just so awful.
How proud are you that she got the creepiness of the love-stalking!
